Christmas on a Dollar Store Budget

Dollar Store Christmas Decor

Between buying gifts, hosting parties and planning turkey dinners, we all know that Christmas can really add up! So if you’re looking for a way to save money, try these simple diy Christmas decorations for a classy but inexpensive look.

Last week I showed you how to make this garland for only $15 in supplies from the dollar store.

DIY Dollar Store Christmas Garland

I made another one for the door frame between our dining room and living room and then stuck with the same gold and green color palette for the Christmas tree.

Again, all the decorations were purchased from the dollar store, however,  this time I added some black and white paper chain garland for a fun look.

I used the same technique for the tulle on the tree as I did with the staircase garland, it was super quick and easy. For the finishing touch, I hung  a sparkly green wreath on our living room mirror with some gold ribbon and voila! Christmas decorating complete :)

    1. Thanks Gina! I personally think that emerald green and gold are classic colors that will never truly go out of style. We’re actually planning on using these colors in our kitchen renovation as well. Thanks for commenting!
